🌍 Invitation to Participate
Know Mama Africa: Written Country Showcase
A creative opportunity for young readers to research, write and proudly introduce their country to children across Africa.
Dear Parent/Guardian and Young Reader,
As part of the Mama Africa Holiday Reading Convention, we are inviting children from participating African countries to help us discover and celebrate the beauty, diversity and richness of our continent through the Know Mama Africa Country Showcase.
We believe that every nation, language and people are part of God’s wonderfully diverse creation. Through this activity, children will have an opportunity to appreciate their heritage, learn about other African countries and recognise the unique gifts, stories and traditions found across our continent.
Before recording their country showcase videos, participating children will prepare a written composition of 500–1,000 words introducing their country to children in other parts of Africa.
Composition Theme
Know Mama Africa: Welcome to My Country
Help other African children encounter your country through its people, faith, stories, food, culture, places and everyday life.

Children may select the ideas that best help them tell their country’s story.
